Washington, IL - Mark Allen Calhoun, 26, of 131 Stahl St., was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 1992. He apparently bled to death in a hunting-related accident near the Old Farm at Stoney Brook subdivision. Officials said his all-terrain vehicle apparently flipped over and landed on top of him.
Born May 8, 1966, in Peoria to Mark Reese Calhoun Sr. and Janice Harper Calhoun, he married Shelly Myers on July 20, 1990, in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Washington; two sons, Mark Ryan and Jesse Lee, both at home; three sisters, Rhonda Winchester of East Peoria, Marla Smith of Morton and Monica Calhoun of Creve Coeur; and grandmothers, Josephine Thompson and Genevieve Ostrander, both of Riverbank, Calif.
His grandfathers and one brother preceded him in death.
He worked in the galvanizing department at Keystone Steel & Wire Co. for the past 2 1/2 years.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
