Armstrong - Services for Johnnie F. [Frederick] Cheever, 59, of Armstrong, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong with the Rev. Marshall Monthei officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. He died Monday, June 13, 1994 at his farm home near Armstrong.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong.

He was born June 3, 1935 in Armstrong, the son of Lester and Rosella (Fritz) Cheever and attended school in Armstrong and graduated from Armstrong High School. On May 24, 1960 he was united in marriage with LaDean Craig. He lived in Armstrong all his life where he farmed and did custom spraying. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Armstrong.

Survivors include his wife, LaDean Cheever, of Armstrong; daughters Cheryl Larsen of Armstrong and Mrs. Dean (Renae) Irmiter of Ringsted; sons: Brent of Ringsted, Arlo of LeMars, Orin of Storm Lake and Roy of Armstrong; three grandchildren; his mother, Rosella Cheever of Hawley, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Richard (JoAnn) Krum of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers: Leslie of Fargo, N.D. and Harvey of Memphis, Tenn.
