1916-2009
Edith B. Bellamy, 92, passed away on June 22nd at her residence in Orange Park, Florida. She was born in Paden, Mississippi and moved to Pensacola,Fl in 1942 where she resided until 2006. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, she was a U.S. History teacher at Brentwood Jr. High School for forty years and long time members of The First
Baptist Church of Pensacola, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Blecha, Orange Park, Florida; her son Gene Bellamy, Roswell, Georgia; sisters Marie Bratsch, Pensacola and Willard Crane, Bridgeport, Alabama; a brother, Leland Stephens, Lubbock, Texas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday June 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and a memorial service Saturday June 27th at 2:00 pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida.(Published in Pensacola News Journal on June 25, 2009)
