"Mr. Mayes
Funeral services for Dennis Brown Mayes, 47, of Austin were held Saturday morning the St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Lampasas with the Rev. Ralph Masters officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Mayes died Thursday in an Austin nursing home.
Born Sept. 17, 1941,in Temple, Mr. Mayes had resided in Austin for the past 22 years. He was an executive secretary for the Dairy Products Institute and was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his mother, Harriet Mayes of Austin; three aunts, Emily Black, Francis Paine and Betsy Oliver, all of Lampasas; two uncles, Dennis Black of Lampasas and Ross Bailey of Lake Buchanan; and a cousin, Joan Andre of Lampasas.
Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Directors had charge of all arrangements."
