Ramona J. Benson, age 77, of Richmond, died Friday evening (June 11, 2010) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on August 3, 1932 to Charles and Bettie Nickens Myers and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and had attended Indiana University East. She was a retired employee of Morrison - Reeves Library and a member of Holy Family Church and of Richmond Catholic Women United.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years - Jerry Benson; daughters - Linda (Gary) Hood , Alice (Bob) Chamness, Gloria (Rick) Thalls all of Richmond and Janet (Russell) Krammes of Liberty; step-daughter - Tracy Benson of Speedway; Brothers - Bob Myers, Dan (Barbara) Myers, Jack (Jane) Myers all of Richmond and Paul Myers of Homer, Georgia; grandchildren - Rick (Carolyn) Thalls, Ryan Thalls, Matthew Hood, Jessica (Zeke) Parker, Rob Chamness, Erin (Ryan) Harris, Pfc Jeremy Krammes, Curtis Krammes; great grandchildren - Grace and RJ Thalls; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Donald Ray Myers, a sister and brother-in-law, Bettie Jewell and Bob Morrison and sisters-in-law - Velda Myers and Ruth Myers are also deceased.

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday (June 16, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (June 15, 2010) from 5:00 pm to 8:00
pm at the funeral home.
