Mrs. Jane Crosby Brauda, 87, a resident of Brunswick, died Monday January 30, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga.
Mrs. Brauda was a native of Wayne County and had been a resident of Brunswick since 2001, coming from St. Marys. She was a graduate of Glynn Academy, Class of 1946 and Perry Business School. She was employed as a paralegal with attorneys Bob Rowth and Robert Harrison and retired from the City of St Mary's, Ga.
Mrs. Brauda was a member of College Place United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, and the Tuesday Prayer Group.
Mrs. Brauda was preceded in death by her Parents, husbands, Ford Howard and Henry Brauda, a son, Teddy Howard, two sisters, Carol Drury and Mary Fox, two brothers, Bill Crosby and Tommy Crosby.
Survivors are her children, Martha Strayer (Bobby) and Janice Maxwell both of Brunswick, Belinda Howard-Biddle (Don) of Jacksonville, Fl., Charles Brauda, (Wanda), Margie Manning (Joey) and Esther Townsend (Donnie) all of Hortense, a daughter-in-law, Faye Howard of St. Marys, grandchildren, Lori Willis, Robby Strayer, Leslie Nelson, Ashley McDonald, Seth Howard, Adam Howard, Rebekah Cobb, Cory Howard- Biddle, Wade Townsend, Tommy Townsend, Jonathan Brauda, Andrew Brauda, Aletra Holland, a brother, Alfred Crosby and a sister, Edith Hall both of Brunswick, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will held at 11 am Friday 2/3/17 at College Place United Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Grotheer officiating. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Ga.
Active pallbearers will be: Robby Strayer, Seth Howard, Adam Howard, Cory Howard-Biddle, Wade Townsend, Jonathan Brauda, Andrew Brauda, Tommy Townsend and Aletra Holland. Honorary pallbearers will be: the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Tuesday Prayer Group.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home and the family request contributions to the Methodist Children's Home, 304 Pierce Ave, Macon, Ga. 31204.
