Amzie Lamerson, 55, Somerville Painter To Be Buried Friday
Somerville--Funeral services for Amzie Lamerson, 55, painting contractor of 101 E. Main St., will be held at 2:30p.m. Friday from the residence. The Rev. Thomas Pace Haig, pastor of the Second Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Cemetery.
Mr. Lamerson died of a heart attack Monday (Jan. 25, 1943) while at work in a small building in Highway 29 west of Mountain Ave. Bound Brook, once used for traffic court purposes by the late Recorder Joseph J. Williams.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lena B Lamerson; a stepson Roebling W. LaRue, 145 W. Summit St., one sister Mrs. Carrie M. Melick, 214 W. Summit St. and four brothers, J.L. Lamerson (sic) (J.T) of Pottersville, Alvah Lamerson of Gladstone, and Edward C. Lamerson and Henry E. Lamerson, both of Newark.
