Died in Texas
James Kellogg today received a telegram announcing the death of his uncle, Lon Durbin, at his home in Texas. Mr. Durbin was well known in this city, being a dispatcher here for a number of years.
At the time of his death he held the position of Chief Train Dispatcher for the Santa Fe. The remains will arrive in Moberly tonight, and the funeral services will be held at St. John's Church tomorrow morning. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery ---- Wednesday's Moberly Democrat.
Mr. Durbin was born at this place (Hunnewell) and lived here for a number of years, and will be remembered by the older settlers as a son of "Uncle Dickie" Durbin and a brother of Dick Durbin of Kansas City.
