Nancy (Newton) Brenin was a resident of the extinct town of Gosport on Star Island, one of the Isles of Shoals off Portsmouth NH. She married a Nova Scotian fisherman named Billy Brenin, but her siblings disapproved of the match. Her home on Star Island is still standing - it is the building called Cottage A today. Ultimately, the situation grew so uncomfortable that the Brenins moved ashore. They had no children. A nephew, Frank Newton, took care of them in their old age. The Brenins are buried with Frank and his family.
