AUSTIN CARR
Austin Carr, 77, of 605 Ray Street, died at his home this morning at 1 o,clock. He had been an Ottumwan for the last 30 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edna Wynn of Ottumwa; a son, Hugh Carr of Ottumwa; a brother, Charlie Carr of Ottumwa and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida May Carr, 15 years ago.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Carr and was born near Floris, August 30, 1861. He was formerly employed at John Morrell & Co.
Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:30pm, at Johnson's Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Charles Albin of the Church of the Bretrhren. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
