RAY JOHN BEAMER
Funeral services were held in Duncan for Ray John Beamer, 73, who died Feb. 16. Reggie Creekmore assisted by Finis Steelman and Dr. Sam W. Scantlan officiated.
Beamer was born May 10, 1909 at Dale, OK. He retired from Mobile Oil Co. in 1971 after 38 years as a plant operator. He was a Mason and a member of the Velma Baptist church.
His wife, Frances Beamer, preceded him in death in 1950. He married Mary West, May 27, 1970 at Davis and they had resided at Ratliff City, OK.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Sue Brooks of Dallas, TX and Karen Lattimore of Garland, TX; one brother, Phillip Beamer, Jr., of Shawnee, OK; three sisters, Holly Jo Cantrell of Springfield, MO, Lola Williams of Harrah, OK and Mattie Mae Woodall of Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One daughter, Joyce Mitchell, preceded him in death.
