Services Held Sunday For Lovett Noble

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist Church for Lovett Brown Noble with Rev. C.N. Ryan and Rev. W.F. Vanderburg officiating.

Mr. Noble, 71, died early Saturday morning in a Memphis hospital following a short illness. He was a prominent farmer in the Lelia Lake community and had been a resident of Donley County since 1909. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First Methodist Church of Clarendon.

Mr. Noble was born in St. Augustine County, Texas March 11, 1885. He married Miss Celia [sic] Jackson here Feb. 2, 1912.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Celia [sic] Noble, Lelia Lake; one son, Gerald Noble, Clarendon; one sister, Mrs. Nancy McCaslin, San Antonio; one half-sister, Mrs. Rayburn Smith, Clarendon and one half-brother, Matt Noble, Kennedy, Texas and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were W.E. Hill, E.S. Ballew, J.C. Shields, Bryan Armstrong, Walter Clifford and Herbert Brown.

Interment was in Citizens Cemetery with the Murphy Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
