Charles was for many years ticket agent for the Wabash. His death was caused by paralysis. He had been in bad health for a long time. In fact, his health showed signs of failing when he left the Wabash three years ago. Since then his decline has been steady. He suffered a stroke of paralysis Sept 15 and since then his physicians have held no hope of his recovery. His death had been expected almost daily since then. In 1886, Charles married Caroline Graham in Peru, Ind. She and four sons survived him: Karl, Louis, John and Pliny? Pollock. One child died a few years ago.
