Frederick Augustus Dean Jr., 87, of Morganville passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Care One in Holmdel. Born in Hazlet, he lived there until 1996, and then moved to Morganville. Mr. Dean was employed as a Machinist for The Metal and Thermitt Co. of Matawan, retiring in 1987. He was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Keyport.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fred A. Dean Sr. in 1995, and Anna H. Dean in 1998, and by his brother, Ralph F. Dean in 2004. Surviving are two sisters, Vivian D. Heaney of Morganville, and Ann D. Mills of Holmdel; an aunt, Esther Haslett; three nephews, Craig Mills, Roger Mills, Geoffrey Dean, and by several cousins.
Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be offered at the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM. Interment will then follow at the Old Tennent Church Cemetery, Manalapan, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory would be appreciated: First Baptist Church, 232 Main Street, Matawan, N.J. 07747.
