His father was Louis T. Luper and his mother, Elizabeth (Horn) Luper. In April 1883 they left Oregon and traveled by covered wagon to Lincoln County near Harrington, WA. Their only son Berry was 7 years old.

He married Christina J. Miller "Minnie" 20 March 1898 at Davenport, Lincoln County, WA.

They lived on a farm in the early part of their life. In about 1915 they moved to Spokane County, WA. When his wife passed away in 1928 Berry would continue to return to the Harrington country for harvests.

He was living in Yardley, WA at the time of his death.

He was fatally injured in a car accident and passed away in a Spokane Hospital.

His 92 year old father was the only one left in his family and he came from Spokane, WA to attend his son's funeral.
