Anna Dorthea Brunner was the second of seven known children of Johann (went by John) Martin Brunner (grave marker says Bruner) (1782-1873) and Anna Catharina Rominger (1781-1851), who married 03 Nov 1807 at Broad Bay Township, Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina.

Anna married thomas Lobach (1811-1861) on 17 May 1832 at Clemmons, Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. Anna and Thomas were the parents of five known children, namely:

1. Mary C. E. Lobach Weston Sandlin (1834-1904)
2. Charles Van Doren Lobach (1840-1874)
3. Phoebe Louise Lobach Keith (1844-1935)
4. Eliza Lobach (c1846-a1850)
5. Daniel A. Lobach (1848-c1855-60)

Thomas died at Richland County, Illinois. It is not known where he is buried. After Anna died Thomas remarried to Ann Elizabeth Snow (c1817-p1880) on 31 Dec 1848 at Bartholomew County, Indiana, and was the father of one known additional child, Thomas Martin Lobach (1853-1929).

In 1850 Thomas, his second wife, Elizabeth, Mary C. E., Charles Van, Phoebe, and Daniel were living at Haw Creek Township, Bartholomew County, Indiana. In 1860 Thomas, Anne E. (age 42, born NC), son Thomas (b. c1853), son Van (age 20, born IN), and Lucinda (age 18, born IL, wife of Van) were living at Noble Township, Richland County, Illinois.

Thomas Lobach was the son of Christopher "Christian" Lobach (1765-1814) and Elizabeth "Betsey" Padgett (1781-1821) in c1809 in presumably North Carolina. After Christian died, Betsey remarried to Christian Sipe (c17800-???).
