Allen M. Van Ness, 55, passed away June 8, 2010 at 3:48 PM in Veteran's Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Allen was born August 16, 1954 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Alden M. and Barbara (Osburn) Van Ness. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. On June 27, 1987 Allen and Debra J. Young were married in Bremen, Indiana.

A lifetime Warsaw area resident, Allen retired in 2008 as a Process Operator at Dalton Foundry with 34 years of service.

Survivors include his wife: Debra, son: Jared Allen Van Ness and daughter, Jennifer Cole – all of Warsaw; mother, Barbara Hawn, Pierceton, Indiana; brother, Douglas M. Van Ness, Warsaw, Indiana and 7 grandchildren: Kayla, Lexi and Delaney Van Ness, Taylor, Aleaha and Maddie Cole and Dillon Patrick.
Preceding him in death are his father, Alden M. Van Ness (May 25, 1970) and brother, Kim M. Van Ness (January 6, 2002).

A time of sharing memories and support with the family will be Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of Allen M. Van Ness' life will begin at 10 AM Monday, June 14, 2010 in Warsaw United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Dan Cox of the church officiating. Burial will take place in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana. Military graveside honors will be conducted by Warsaw's American Legion Post 1126 and VFW Post 49. Gifts in memory of Allen may be given to Warsaw United Pentecostal Church.
