Julia Ann Lents was born January 8, 1849 in Daviess County, IN. She was the daughter of Bernard Lents (1821-?)and Catherine Spalding (1810-?). On April 19, 1868, she married Benjamin N. Crane at St Mary's Catholic Church in Daviess County, IN. They had four sons, Silas Albert (1865-1926), James V. (1869-1930), George W. (1872-1891), and Benjamin Franklin (1878-?). Julia died Feb 27, 1879 at age 30. She is buried at St Mary's Cemetery.
