Emory Griffith Kindig, 70, assistant cashier of the Onarga State Bank, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday at his home from a heart ailment.
He was born January 18, 1877 in Roanoke, the son of John David and Martha Elizabeth Kindig.
His marriage was on May 2, 1906 to Lotta M. King at Onarga.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Rueck of Gifford and two sisters, Mrs. Ellis Lindsey of Onarga and Mrs. John Olson of California. One son, Lyle preceded him in death.
He came to Onarga from Gilman 33 years ago. He was a member of the Christian church, the I.O.O.F. lodge and the Modern Woodmen of America.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Christian church. The Rev. W. G. McCalley of Bloomington officiating. Burial will be in the Onarga cemetery, the Amerman funeral home in charge.
