Francis Asbury Campbell was a Methodist Evangelist circuit rider. He was converted at age 12. He preached in the Nebraska Methodist Conference and did at least one revival in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Francis Asbury was licensed to preach 1880 in Clarinda, Iowa under B.F.W. Cozier. He entered the Nebraska Ministry in 1881 and then entered evangelistic work in 1899. He then became a conference evangelist in 1900 and retired in 1915. His son Alva would conduct the singing at his services and son Harley would play the piano.
