Funeral services were held for Charles Schwemm, a native of this community at the funeral home, 149 West Main Street, Tuesday afternoon with Rev. W. A. Stauffer officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Schwemm died at home Saturday morning following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Barrington Township on August 16, 1884, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schwemm. His entire lifetime was spent in farming in this region.

Besides his widow, Ella Schwemm, he is survived by a brother Fred of Hobart, Ind.; two step-sisters, Mrs. Mary Buehler and Mrs. Florence Pahlke of Barrington; two step-brothers, Clarence and Frank of Barrington; a foster son, Paul Zidek and a step-mother, Mrs. Emma Schwemm, also of Barrington.
