Son of Claud James Lloyd and Ethel May Marvel Lloyd.

Ronald, who resided at 304 Harrington Street, Seaford, Delaware, served as a Corporal & aerial gunner on B-24J Liberator (#42-100024), 112th Base Unit, U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He enlisted in the Delaware National Guard on January 27, 1941, prior to the war, in Laurel, Delaware. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents.

He was killed in the "Line Of Duty", along with 9 other airmen, when his B-24J bomber crashed during a training flight near South Hadley, Massachusetts.

At the time of his death he was assigned to the 112th Base Unit, Westover Field, Massachusetts.

He had served in the Air Corps for four years and three months at the time of his death.
