Mary King, stated birth March 2, 1836, has a CSA widow's pension in the Georgia Archives Virtual vault. She says her husband, James M. King enlisted in May 1862 in Company E of the 42 GA regt. He was killed in the Battle of Vicksburg, Miss on Dec. 29, 1862. Within her paperwork is proof of her own death on April 25, 1919 in Newton County, GA.
