Tom was born April 18, 1926 in Coleman County, Texas to his parents Wes Davis and Willie Bryant Davis. He enlisted in the United States Marines in March of 1944 and served until September 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Tom became a professional bull rider on the National Rodeo Circuit for several years after his separation from the Marine Corps. He then met and later married Billie Fenton on March 4, 1951. Tom and Billie then moved to Fort Worth where he worked for the Fort Worth Stockyards. He and his wife moved to Hurst where he went to work for P&R Cattle Company and then established himself as an independent Cattle Buyer. In 1968 Tom and Bille moved to San Angelo, Texas and he went to work for Producers Livestock Auction Company. He then moved to Ozona and went to work at the Delta Gas Plant and retired.
Tom is survived by his loving family: 2 Daughters: Patti Riddle, of Knoxville and Belinda Davis, of Cedar Park; 2 Grandchildren: Amber Purser, of South Carolina and Thomas Riddle of Knoxville, Tennessee; 4 sisters: Juanita Mills, Wanda Dorman, Charlene Mobley, and Willifae Pauley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was a loving father and grandfather and had many many friends who will dearly miss him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Nicole and Jay Valandingham and family for tirelessly and selflessly caring for our Father in his last days and we appreciate their friendship and spiritual encouragement.
