The body of First Lieutentant Floyd E. Arnold, 18th Infantry A. E. F., who died in France was received by his parents here today. Lieutentant Arnold received his commission at Fort Niagara in November 1917, and was detailed for immediate overseas duty, partaking in seven major operations of the First Division. He was wounded and gassed on July 22, 1918, receiving citations from both the French and American governments for courage and valor under fire. His death occurred on November 18, 1918. Funeral services will be read at 2 o'clock on Sunday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Arnold, 119 Edward terrace, Athens. Internment in Tioga point cemetery will be in charge of the American Legion post of Athens.
