LULU E. WILLARD SUCCUMBS AT 85
Mrs. Lulu E. Willard, 85, of Altoona, died at 4:45 PM. Sunday Oct. 18 at the Neodesha Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Loren Fawcett Funeral Home.
The minister in charge has not yet been decided. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
Lulu Elizabeth Snavely was born March 15, 1885 in Wythe County Va. To Joseph D and Priscilla E. (Grubb) Snavely.
She was married to D. B. Willard in 1927 at Wickliffe, Ky. He died April 6, 1937.
Mrs. Willard came to Kansas and rural Neodesha in 1902 and lived in Altoona about 36 years. Two sisters, Bessie and Nannie and two brothers, James and Joseph preceded her in death. One sister Mrs. Gertrude Wages from Altoona is still living.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
