Funeral services for Ole J. Fisk were held from the Oak Lake Lutheran Church of Kerrick on Monday, April 14, at 3 p.m. With Rev. Harold Petersen officiating. Casket bearers were: Ed Marcuk, James Stauffer, Carroll Henning, Sheldon Armstrong, George Anderson and Philip Berset. Interment was in the Oak Lake Community Cemetery at Kerrick.
Ole J. Fiske was born in Norway January 14, 1882. He came to the United States in 1911 and settled in Duluth, Minnesota. On December 14, 1912, he was married to Fannie Sarlund at Duluth. They moved to Oak Lake in 1920. He was employed in the area as a carpenter. His wife passed away on June 2, 1943. In 1946 he moved to Moose Lake to live and in 1953 to Superior, Wisconsin. He passed away suddenly at his home in Superior Thursday, April 10 at the age of o87 years.
Surviving are three sons; John of Estacada, Oregon, Alvin of Pueblo, Colorado, and Floyd of Metz, France, four daughters (Dorothy) Mrs. James Stauffer of Williston, ND (Eleanore) Mrs. Ed Marcuk of Lake Nebagamen, Wisconsin (Lois0 Mrs. Carroll Henning of Fergus Falls, and Mrs. Olive Knosti of Duluth; one brother, Einar, living in Canada; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides his wife, one son and one daughter preceded him in death. Arrangements by Hamlin Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
