Rebecca Viola Johnson Hoewischer, 70, of Jacksonville passed away June 10, 2010. She was born November 20, 1939 in Greensboro, N.C. to the late Charles and Hellen L. Haynes Johnson.
She was a loving, devoted totally, supportive wife of more than 50 years often faced with raising the children alone due to her husband being overseas in the military. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. The love and care of her family was her total concern. If needed she would gladly do without to insure that they were provided for.
She is survived by her husband Norman L. Hoewischer, 3-sons; Jr L. Hoewischer, Russell Miller, and James D.(Lori) Hoewischer, 1-Granddaughter; Misty Hoewischer, 1-Grandson; Michael Miller and 1-Step-Grandson; Michael Wallace. 1- Brother; Rusty (Carole) Johnson, 2-sisters-in- law; Patricia Buller and Martha Bradfield, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Active pallbearers are Michael Miller, Shelton Mercer, Rusty Johnson, James Hoewischer, Russell Miller and Jr. Johnson.
The family will receive friends on 6-14-2010 from 6 to 8pm. at Nassau Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 6-15-2010 at 1pm also at Nassau Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30pm in the Jacksonville national veteran's cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US Highway 1 Callahan Florida 32011.
