Funeral services were conducted for Minnie Viola Edmonds, age 71, from the Chaple of the Pace Funeral Home Sunday, April 9, 1967, at 2 pm, with the Rev. Raymond Blount officiating, assisted by the Rev. James Garrett. Interment followed in the Peebles Cemetery.

Miss Evans was born the daughter of Lucy Latham and James R. Edmonds. A native of Mississippi, she woas born near the town of Beach and attended the public schools of that community. She later moved to Texas and Polk County and settled in the town of Goodrich where she served as postmistress for 20 odd years. At the time of her death she had made Temple her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goodrich, Texas.

Survivors: 2 sisters, Mrs. Elmer Bailey of Livingston and Miss Gladys Edmonds of Vernon; 2 brothers, Grady C. Edmonds of Beaumont and Roy T. Edmonds of Abilene; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Metts, Brhan Sewell, Ira Edmonds, Ben Peal, Robert Blackstock and Howard Edmonds

Arrangements were under the direction of the Pace Funeral Home of Livingston.
