Edwin P. Morris Chesser, 77, of Mackville Hill, Springfield, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 at Colonial House Nursing Home in Bardstown, where he had been
a resident for one year.

A native of Washington County, he worked at Washington County Court House for several years, was a custodian at Washington County High School
for several years, and also worked at General Electric, Ford Motor
Co. and Springfield Redrying Co. and was a member of Springfield
Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Laura
Hardin Chesser; his wife, Beatrice Wright Chesser, 1986; one
brother, William H. Chesser, 1990; and one nephew, William
Chesser Jr.
Survivors include a sister, Ruby Frances Kidwell, Springfield; two nephews, Bobby
Chesser and Charles R. Chesser, both of Springfield; and two nieces, Ruby Clellon Sagracy, Springfield, and Joyce Spiaggi, Louisville.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Graham and Rev. Phillip Small officiating.

Burial was in the Willisburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles R.
Chesser, Jerry Hardin, Evan Hardin, Mike Wheatley, Tommy
Walls and Bobby Brady.
Honorary pallbearers were Ruel Walls, Jimmy Grigsby. Joe Hardin, Jimmy Wheatley, Vallas Hayden, Bud Hardin, Charles Russell Jr., John Kelly and Ruel
Foster.
Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
