Salomon J. Baca, 69, a resident of Belen, N.M., entered into the Lord's presence Wednesday, April 7, 2010. He was born in 1940.
He was a member of Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley in Belen. Salomon retired as an optical inspector from MCLB Civil Service out of Barstow, Calif., after 34 years of outstanding service. He moved back to Belen to care for his father and step-mother in 1998. While in Barstow, he coached and managed Little League Baseball for his children. Salomon played softball for the MCLB Civilian League. He was a big sports fan of the LA Dodgers, Lakers and Washington Redskins. Salomon enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ignacio J. Baca; step-mother, Frances Baca; mother, Rufina Rivera; brother, Wenses Baca; and sister, Roseanne Esquivel .
Salomon is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Clara Baca; daughters, Barbara Chavez and Belinda Espinoza and husband, Johnny; sons, Dino Baca and wife, Carrie and Wenses Baca and wife, Valerie; sister, Lydia Baisa and husband, Steve; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
