Pearle T. ""Patty" Robinson, 72, passed away in the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000. She was born in Montpelier on Jan. 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte (Goodyear) Tucker. A 1946 graduate of the former Waitsfield High School, she continued her education at the University of Vermont, earning her degree in education in 1950. She was formerly married to Spencer Robinson in 1952 in New York City. She was a second-grade teacher in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, for 25 years, where she received a Teacher of the Year Award in 1982 and 1986. Retiring in 1987, she returned to Vermont and had been a resident of the Berlin Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past two years. Her memberships included the Waitsfield United Church of Christ and the NEA. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Tucker Robinson Towle of South Portland, Maine; a son, Scott Robinson of Raymond, Maine; three granddaughters, Nicole Brigham, Brooke Brigham, and Amy Brigham; and a stepgranddaughter, Hope Towle; two sisters, Judith Tucker Smith and Alice R. Schwendler, both of Waitsfield,; a brother, Clarence Gerald ""Jerry" Tucker of Waitsfield; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Tucker; and a brother, Thomas G. Tucker. Funeral services will be held in the Waitsfield United Church of Christ on Saturday at 2 p.m. There will be no calling hours. Entombment will take place in the Hope Cemetery vault in Waterbury pending spring interment in the Waitsfield Common Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Green Mountain Chapter, P.O. Box 1139, Montpelier, Vt. 05601. The Perkins-Parker Funeral Home in Waterbury is in charge of arrangements.
