RITES HELD IN
COTTON VALLEY
Last rites were held Sunday for lifelong Cotton Valley resident John Franklin Davis, age 69, who died in a Shreveport Hospital Friday night.
Mr. Davis was a retired merchant and farmer and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Cotton Valley.
Services were held at the First Methodist Church with the Reverend Terral Lowe officiating.
Interment followed in the Hodge-Applewhite Cemetery under the direction of Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Joe Winham, one son, Joseph Robert Davis of New Orleans and four sister; Mrs. G.W. Cole and Mrs. H.G. Harper, Sr. of Cotton Valley, Mrs. H.R. Hayes of Monroe and Mrs. Morris Barrett of Oakland City, Calif.
