This community was saddened by the news of the death of Mrs. W. W. Cook, who died very suddenly last Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at her home, 611 Main street.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the home, Rev. Paul J. Christensen, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating, with interment in Oakwood. Although Mrs. Cook's illness was of long duration, her death came very unexpectedly and was a shock to her many friends, who had a high regard for her beautiful character and her friendly relations toward all. Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband, a son, Ed S. Cook and three grandchildren, Dorothy, Jean and Carol Cook, all of Pella. The bereaved relatives will have the sincere sympathy of all in their sorrow. -Pella Chronicle. July 14, 1938
