FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. H. E. WILSON
MRS. EULA W. CRANE HELD HERE THURSDAY

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 17 at two-thirty in the afternoon in the Monticello Baptist Church for Mrs. H. E. Wilson, 84, and her daughter, Mrs. Eula W. Crane, 66.

Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Crane were both killed in an automobile accident just west of town on Highway 84.

They were natives of Monticello, but had moved to New Orleans some forty years ago. Upon retirement, they had moved back to Monticello to live. They were members of the Monticello Baptist Church and were active in all church work.

Dr. W. R. Hunter, pastor of the Monticello Baptist Church, was in charge of the services and was assisted by Rev. Harold Bethune of Newton and Dr. J. D. Gray, a former pastor from the First Baptist Church in New Orleans. Dr. Gray paid an outstanding Christian tribute to Mrs. Wilson and her daughter, Mrs. Crane.

Mrs. J. L. Rutledge, organist, played appropriate hymns for the prelude. "When We Come to the End of a Perfect Day" was used for the processional. Soft organ music was played throughout the service.

Burial was in the Town Cemetery in the Bass family plot. The Lawrence County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Active pall bearers were E. W. Clinton, E. C. Bufkin, Jack Simmons, S. F. Magee, E. A. Turnage, John C. Ready, L. O. Burkett, James Wilson, Jerry Wilson, E. R. Conerly, Charles Branning, Buddy Wilson, Cary Bass and Billy P. Smith.

Mrs. Crane is survived by her husband, W. L. Crane of Monticello; one sister, Mrs. W. W. Wright of Monticello.
