Silas Emory Addison was the son of Henry Lindon Addison and Elizabeth Jane Johnson. He married Josephine H. Rich on 20 July 1884. They had 6 children: Viola M, Estella Blanche, Emma Grace, William Edward, James Walter, and Albert Emory Addison. His youngest son was born shortly after his death. His son James Walter was born a deaf mute. Silas died June 15, 1900 and was buried at Park Cemetery, Grant County, Indiana. His widow married a second time to William Walker McKillip in 1903 and resided in Wolcott, White County, Indiana until after 1920 when the moved to Windfall in Tipton County. They spent some time in Union, Howard County where their daughter Stella had lived with her husband at one time.

Viola married Henry St Pierre. Stella married Orville Jay Osborn, Emma Grace married William Palmer Gibson, William Edward's wife was Rose Agnes Widmar and Albert's wife was Ruth. James Walter married Eva May Marley.

Viola and her husband lived in Illinois and had 4 children: Harold, Helen, Silas St Pierre and Harry Allen St. Pierre. The other children lived in Cleveland Ohio, but James Walter came back to Indiana to live with his mother in 1930 when they lived in Union, Howard County, Indiana. The Gibsons had one adopted daughter, Dorothy J Gibson; Stella had one son, Ralph Dencil Osborn; William had a son William Jr. and Albert and Ruth had a son named John.
