Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Thelma Poirrier Simeon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Evie and George Stewart Jr., Satsuma, and Evelyn and Nick Ramos, Walker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charley René and Lorraine DeLatte, Baytown, Texas, and James Hilton and Tammy Simeon, Denham Springs; a sister and brother-in-law, Mavis and Jewel Hoyt; a brother and sister-in-law, Valmond and Madge Simeon; seven grandchildren and spouses, Dewayne and Danielle DeLatte, Callie and Jimmie Naquin, Cody Stewart, Angela Ramos, Sarah and Thomas Griffis III, Nicholas Ramos and Kelsi Simeon; four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Beau Naquin, Aubrey Ramos and Aiden Griffis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Leona Tate Simeon.
He was a member of Fellowship Full-Gospel Church, Holden. He was an avid fan of bluegrass music and was a versatile musician.
