L. Marie (Glick) Meyers, 92, Plainville, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at her home. She was born March 3, 1916, south of Zurich to Pete and Ethel (Johnson) Glick.
She married Lawrence Meyers on Sept. 2, 1937. He preceded her in death.
She was a cook at Sacred Heart Catholic School for 28 years.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Meyers, Stamford, Neb., and Kenny Meyers, Wichita, Kansas; two daughters Carolyn Horton, Golden, Colo., and Janet Languein, Plainville; a brother, Herb Glick, Plainville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville, and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. A Ladies Guild rosary will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic School or Hospice of Hays Medical Center in care of the chapel.
