William Don Hoard of Fredonia, Arizona died a the Kane County hospital in Kanab on July 15, 1976 of a heart condition.

Howard was born December 18, 1904 in Evanston, Wyoming, the son of William John Lyle and Mary Morganson Carpenter (He later changed his name to Howard). He married Lovella Holt June 18, 1930 Gallup New Mexico. The marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on June 1950.

Howard was a graduate of the Evanston Wyoming High School and lived in most of the western States, living in Vegas and St. George, later moving to Fredonia Arizona in 1975. He has served as a farmer and poultry man most of his live.

A member of the LDS church he served as Scoutmaster, Explorer leader, Sunday School Teacher, Ward Clerk and served a State Mission and a full time mission in Texas in 1970.

He is survived by his wife of Fredonia, three sons and three daughters; Dayne H, Howard of Enterprise, Utah; Wayne M. Howard of Salt lake City; James L. Howard of Layton, Utah; Mrs. Harold "Afton" Bluemel of Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Gail (Wilma) Potter of Salt Lake, Mrs. Paul "Cherie" Heaton of Fredonia, Arizona. 27 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Walomar (Evangeline) Olsen and Mrs. Leslie (Joan) Starkey both of Evanston Wyoming.
