Pistol Discharged Accidentally Kills Marysvale Youth
A sad accident happened at Marysvale Sunday noon that shocked the entire community. Three young boys, Byron Williams, Morris Burr and Sam Page, were hunting rabbits in the foot hills near Marysvale. They were about to return home when a .22 pistol was accidently discharged, the bullet passing through Sam's head, killing him instantly.
Sam is the fourteen year old son of H.R. Page and Lillian Rappleye Page and the grandson of Samuel E. Page, former County Attorney.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the LDS Chapel at Marysvale. Interment was in the Marysvale Cemetery.
Sam is the second child in the Page family to be accidentally killed. About nine years ago a four year old daughter was killed in a runaway.
Sam is survived by his parents; one brother, Jack, and two sisters, Phyllis and Margaret Page, all of Marysvale.
