GLENN FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY - 2006
Lindy Ashby, 77 of 5244 Newbolt Road, Owensboro, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Onton, Kentucky to the late S.P. and Jenny (Hancock) Ashby. Mr. Ashby was the vice-president of Hutch and Son Electronics. He was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Korea, a member of V.F.W. and the American Legion. Mr. Ashby was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ashby in 1960, a brother, Joe Ashby and sisters, Lillian Stout and Dorothy Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Lowe Ashby, a son and daughter in law, Rev. Joe Ashby and Rev. Kay Ashby, of North Muskegan, Michigan, daughter and son in law, Dot and Ray Biscopink of Owensboro, grandchildren, Ryan and Eric Biscopink, and Stephen Ashby. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Glen Coppick and James Westmoreland officiating. Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Scholarship Fund of the American Legion 118 West Veterans Blvd. Owensboro, KY 42303.
