Nina was born in Snyder, Oklahoma. She was the third child of Ola Ellison and Joe E. Bandy.
Nina married her childhood sweetheart, Thomas Harold West in 1933 and God blessed them with three children, all girls.
Nina was generous, loving and intelligent. Her life was filled with a strong faith in God. She was active in her church, Turnpike Church of Christ, and in her community.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband Harold; daughter, Helen Eileen Word; daughter, Linda Stone sister, Eileen Utsey and brothers, Joe A. Bandy and James Bandy. Survivors: Brother, Murray C. Bandy; daughter, Cynthia McElrath; Grandchildren: Kirk Word, Greg Word, Jennifer West, Mary Helen Cornelius, Keith Stone, Byron Stone, Courtney Bradshaw; 13 Great - Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home; A private service will be held in Oklahoma with interment in her family cemetery, Rogers Memorial Cemetery in Snyder, OK.
