Graveside services for Dr. John L. "Jack" Rittmeyer,64, 1309 Ridge, will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Gardens of Memory.
Dr. Rittmeyer was plant physician at Delco Battery for 10 years before retiring in 1982. Before that, he had been associated with Ball State Health Center and Muncie Clinic.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. The procession to the cemetery will leave the mortuary at 10 a.m. Friday. Dr. Rittmeyer died yesterday in his home after an extended illness.
He was a native of Norwood, Ohio, and live in West Virginia for several years before moving to Muncie 19 years ago. He served in the Army during World War II and wa a member of Delaware County Medical Society and American Medical Association.
Survivors include his wife, June; his father, Lewis C. Rittmeyer, Cincinnati; three daughters, Mrs. Seth (Karen)Pruden, Indianapolis, Mrs. Richard (Linda) Sutphin, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Charles (Ellen) Griffith, Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Jane) Staub, Palm Harbor, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
