Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Bertha Agnus McGinnis, 96, who went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at 7:04 p.m. The Revs. Buford Phillips and Randy Gunter will officiate. Burial in Whites Chapel Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.
She was preceded in death by her husband. the Rev. Willard McGinnis; and son. Everett McGinnis. She was a member ol MeadowBrook Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two children, Mrs. Joyce Childs (John) and Mr Don McGinnis (Judy); five grandchildren, Mrs. Molly McDonald (Phillip), Ms. Cynthia McGinnis (Tom), Mrs. Sheila Erwin (Hank), the Rev. Mike McGinnis (Sandra) and Ms. Rebecca Pomeroy; nine great-grandchildren; stepgrandchidren, Mrs. Debbie Bobo (J.R.), Mr. Joe Childs (Nelda) and Mr. John Childs Jr. (Barbara): six step-great-grandchildren: and three step-great-greatgrandchectren.
Mrs. Bertha McGinnis requested no flowers be sent. The family would welcome donations be made to Hospice South, 420 Century Park South No. 112B, Hoover, AL 35226.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
