His second wife was Mary E. "Mamie" Westaway who he married on Aug. 3, 1889 in Carroll Co., MD. They had ten children:

Berlin Filmore, Sr., Emil Almot, Teddy Jason, Arthur Ferndale, St. Clair Earl, Lester Valdemear, Velma, Lexly William, Gilford B., & Nellie Evelyn Caple.
