Lewis Fisher, lifelong resident of Humboldt, passed away peacefully in the home of his birth Wednesday, June 9, 2010. He was born June 3, 1924, to Abraham and Sammie Mae Fisher, as the youngest of six children. He was preceded in death by his precious wife of 60 years, Elizabeth. He was a retired truck driver and farmer. During WWII he proudly served his country in the US Navy. Lewis was a member of Gregory's Chapel Assembly of God Church for over 70 years. He and Elizabeth were known for their skills as great gardeners. Their gardens were the place for many to go for homegrown sweet potatoes and vegetables.

He leaves his daughters, Shirley Bowman, and Carol Lovelace (Ed), and son, Rick (Jeanne), and six grandchildren, Chris Baldwin (Greg), Tommy Bowman, Lisa Brasfield, Scott Lovelace (Julie), Abe Fisher (Kari), Alex Fisher, Ashley Beasley and Drew Agee, and six great-grandchildren, Amy and Cody Brasfield, Blair and Brook Baldwin, Dakota Beasley and Shea Agee.

Visitation will be at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, Thursday, June 10, from 5 PM till 8 PM. Services will be Friday June 11 at 4 PM at the funeral home, The service will be conducted by Adam Twedt, pastor of Gregory's Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Harris, Walter Fisher, Jerry Pickard, Terry and Cody Brasfield and Greg Baldwin. The service will be conducted by Adam Twedt, pastor of Gregory's Chapel.
