Mrs. Maude Gillis Brown
Graveside rites for Mrs. Maude Gillis Brown of Hattiesburg were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19 in Mizpah Cemetery, Durant. The Rev. Steve Delony officiated.
Mrs. Brown, former resident of Durant, moved to Hattiesburg in 1972 and died at the Conv-Rest Home there on Monday, June 17. She was 90.
She was a native of Sturgis and was a member of First Baptist Church in Durant.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Herrington of Hattiesburg; one son. James Edwards Brown of Palm Harbor, Florida: two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Southern Funeral Home of Durant was in charge of local arrangements.
