He was born Oct. 29, 1927, at Salem to Lee Earl Anderson and Afton McCulloch Anderson. He was raised in Salem and attended Sugar-Salem schools, graduating from Sugar-Salem High School in 1945. After high school, he served in the Army in Japan during World War II. After the war, he drove truck for Waddell Distributing Co., and he delivered machinery for Farmers' Equipment.
Survivors include his sisters, Earlene Parkinson of Rexburg, Glenda (Kent) Robertson of Salem and Delia (Gary) Wood of Omak, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Anna Jane Anderson of Egin and Patricia Anderson of Rexburg; a brother-in-law, Craig Bennion of Redlands, Calif.; 14 nephews; and 11 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cleon M. "Andy" Anderson and Larry K. Anderson; a sister, LaRee Bennion; and a brother-in-law, Detsel Parkinson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, at the Salem LDS church with Bishop Cleve Bagley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Rexburg Cemetery with military rites by the Madison County Veterans Team.
