Frederick Post - July 7, 1941
Alfred Worth Wood, for many years a farmer in Barnesville, died suddenly Sunday at 1 p.m. at his home. A son of the late Charles and Columbia Wood of Barnesville, he was aged 67 years.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Jessica C. Wood; by a sister, Mrs. George Cooley, and by the following children; Mrs. Jessie May Smith, of LeGore; Mrs. Hettie Montgomery, Mrs. Ida Bevan, and Miss Elsie Wood, all of Baltimore; Mrs. Helen Thomas of Lanham, Md.; Mrs. Hazel Joyce of Washington; Rodney Wood of Silver Spring, and Evelyn and David Wood of Barnesville.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Herbert Cooper of the Baptist Church, on Tuesday from the funeral home of William H. Hilton. Interment will be in the Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
