Dancer, Entertainer. The father of actor and entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr, he began dancing early in life and joined entertainer Will Mastin to form a vaudeville troupe, along with his former wife, dancer Elvera Sanchez. After separating from Sanchez, he took custody of his son, who was three years old at the time. He, along with Mastin, taught Sammy Davis Jr how to dance and they all performed together as the Will Mastin Trio. In 1956 they appeared in the musical "Mr. Wonderful." Additionally, he appeared in two movies, "Sweet and Low" (1947), "The Benny Goodman Story" (1956), and "Sammy" (1974). Between 1952 and 1954 he appeared in eight episodes of Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin's "The Colgate Comedy Hour." He died of natural causes at the age of 87.
